hot peppersThe Market Summer Sizzler features a hot pepper eating contest where contestants will eat increasingly hotter locally-raised peppers.

The hardiest soul will win $20 in market tokens and the second place finisher will win $15 in market tokens.

The local fire department will be on hand from 5:00-6:00 pm to cool everyone down and to give tours of the fire engines.

If the heat gets to be too much, the Ice Cream Social will hit the spot. From 5:30-7:00 pm, shoppers will be treated to free ice cream which will be home-churned by market vendors.
