Farmers who direct market products to consumers–farmers market vendors, Pick Your Own farms, CSA businesses, on-farm retail market owners, roadside stand operators,– are encouraged to attend the Farm Direct Marketing 101: Exploring Opportunities for Kansas’ Small Farms Workshops to be held in April and May at five locations across the state.
The workshops have been developed by the Kansas Rural Center in coordination with the Kansas Department of Commerce, Rural Development: Kansas Department of Agriculture; Kansas State Research and Extension; and are funded by the USDA Risk Management Agency.
